New cast wrap film with FLITE technology from Arlon

Arlon has announced the global launch of a new innovative vehicle wrap film. This newly introduced SLX Cast Wrap is a premium gloss white repositionable cast film with FLITE Technology. Designed for the single installer, the film allows for a fast wrap and superior repositionability for full and partial, vehicle and fleet applications. FLITE Technology is a lite contact system allowing graphics to float over a substrate until firm pressure is applied. It guarantees the fastest installation while ensuring long-term bond, conforming effortlessly around rivets, complex curves and deep channels.


Roland DG announces new GR-640/540/420 vinyl cutters

Latest addition to its CAMM-1 Series, Roland DG has announced its new GR-640/540/420 vinyl cutters. The machine provides the stability required to ensure precision cutting even at high speed. The redesigned cutting carriage, blade holder and other core mechanisms enable the machines to achieve a maximum cutting speed of 1,485 mm/s and up to 600 gf of downforce for cutting through dense media with a single pass.


NEGI Sign Systems expands solvent
line with three new versatile printers


A supplier and manufacturer of a complete range of digital wide-format printers of diverse technologies, NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. keeps expanding its product line with constant introduction of new printers from time to time, meeting the increasing need and requirement of signage players. Latest additions in the company’s solvent line are three new solvent printers—Ultra Star Premium 3304, Ultra Star Standard 3302 and NegiJet K3300.

Ultra Star Premium 3304 is equipped with all steel 4/6 Dimatix StarFire 1024 printheads with 25/10pl dropsize. This new solvent printing system is capable to run at the maximum speed of 420 sq m/hr (8 printheads with 25 pl dropsize). In the meantime, Ultra Star Standard 3302 is equipped with 2/4 Dimatix StarFire 1024 printheads. Capable to run at the maximum speed of 200 sq m/hr with four printheads in 25 pl dropsize, this 3.3 m printer is perfectly engineered for outdoor banner production.

Both the Ultra Star models offer high-quality graphics for outdoor applications—be it hoarding, bus shelter graphic, glow sign graphic, etc. Also, these models feature with magnetic encoders for high precision printing and wider pinch rollers in the systems maintain precise and steady media delivery. The third solvent printer, NegiJet K3300 with KM 512i printhead is yet another perfect system for churning outdoor hoardings, banners and such applications. The systems have options for other printheads like RICOH Gen-5 or Kyosera.


AGFA Graphics launches
new Avinci DX3200 dye-sub printer


Engine of AGFA Graphics’ new Avinci DX3200 is designed for soft signage prints of up to 3.2 m wide, at a resolution of up to 1440 x 540 dpi, in the print speed of up to 173 sq m/h. Pilot users of the system are impressed with its speed and print quality. The engine features 6 colors (CMYKLcLm) at a droplet size of 14pl. Such features of the printer guarantee a vibrant colour gamut, outstanding tonal rendering and fine detail reproduction.


Zünd introduces Cradle Feeder

A fresh announcement from Zund is the introduction of Cradle Feeder, which is designed for tension-free unwinding and rewinding of flexible or stretchy materials. This newly introduced finishing system was recently demonstrated for the first time to the global audience at Interzum 2017 in Cologne, Germany. Integrated edge control in the finishing system ensures the material is fed reliably and precisely onto the cutting surface. With this technology, even less than perfectly wound rolls can be processed without any problem.


RICOH announces two new industrial inkjet printheads

RICOH MH5421F and RICOH MH5421MF are two new industrial printheads from RICOH. Both the newly introduced printheads are designed for low viscosity (6 mPas) and medium viscosity fluids (11 mPas) respectively. These printheads enable highly stable jetting performance through the incorporation of an ink re-circulating structure. The structure enables continuous ink flow directly behind the nozzle, reducing the risk of jetting failure caused by either clogged ink or entrapped air bubbles. Each printhead has enhanced bonding technology for improved durability. With these new features, RICOH MH5421 MF and MH5421F printheads offer enhanced compatibility with a wider range of fluids. The added features of the two new RICOH printheads are designed to result in increased reliability for single-pass printing by delivering improved print quality and productivity.


Canon launches Océ Colorado
1640 featuring new UVgel ink


A new launch from Canon is an Océ Colorado 1640—the first 64 inch roll-to-roll wide-format printer from the company. Canon expands large-format line
with new imagePROGRAF iPF670E


Offering large-format players a new quality printing at a competitive price point, Canon has announced the launch of imagePROGRAF iPF670E, a new five-colour dye/pigment printer. The 24-inch iPF670E model stems from the iPF670 series, with compelling features and specifications to satisfy a broad range of business needs, including the printing of CAD/GIS documents, posters, in-store graphics, and larger sized business documents. Designed to compete in the low-cost, low-volume 24 inch market, Canon’s imagePROGRAF iPF670E offers speeds approximately 20 percent faster than that of the competition. Designed to increase accessibility for entry-level operations, the 24-inch iPF670E comes equipped with a total of 540 ml of ink differentiating it from competitors that offer less than 100 ml of ink to start with for similar devices.


Mimaki adds its new model
in its UJF-MkII product line


Mimaki has added a new member to the UJF-MkII product family, its latest generation of small format UV flatbed printers. This newly added UJF-3042MkII EX, offers a unique approach to value-added printing by combining four steps into one: delivering the ability to place primer for strong ink adhesion, white ink for high print opacity, full colour CMYK printing and a clear print surface treatment, all in one operation. UJF-MkII UV curable flatbed printing systems were launched last summer and have been very well received by the market since their introduction.


Caldron Graphics introduces
Macan E3306T with TOSHIBA printhead


Latest in the product line of Caldron Graphics is Macan E3306T, a super wide-format printer with TOSHIBA printheads, from Guangzhou-based EGERI Digital Technology. The printer with six high precision industrial TOSHIBA CE4 printheads is capable to run at 10 sq m/hr in 12 pass mode (backlit). Compatibly designed to accept the whole gamut of printing materials, such as vinyl film, smallpox film, textile, wallpaper, canvas, leather and others, Macan E3306T delivers high-textured graphics for extensive applications ranging from normal backlit displays to textile wall covering. Macan E3306T is equipped with USHIO UV lamp and a huge diameter rod as part of the printer’s front feeding system to ensure printing on soft film is free from wrinkle and skew. Also, the printer features an advanced roll take-up system with automatic winding motor.

Apart from its own brand of CrystalJet (CJ) series printers of diverse models and configurations, Caldron Graphics is a sole India distributor of a line of printers and machines from big brands like HP. And of course, Macan E3306T is the latest arrival in the company’s distribution list.


Mimaki releases Tx300P-1800 hybrid printer

Designed for the textile and apparel market, Mimaki has released a hybrid inkjet printer that can load simultaneously two different type of inks (textile pigment and sublimation dye ink) and print directly on materials, such as cotton, hemp and polyester. The new technology that was not possible earlier is now available for Tx300P-1800 (without belt) and Tx300P-1800B (with belt). Now, the systems do not require usage of water in the post-treatment process.
