‘Business in a Box’ concept

In close association with its Indian partner, Apsom Infotex, Roland DG fascinatingly presented the ‘Business in a Box’ at the Gifts World Expo 2016 organised recently in New Delhi. The business model contained three remarkable printers, viz. Roland VersaUV LEF-20, Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20 and Roland Metaza MPX-90, combined together to suitably meet the need of stationary suppliers/distributors, gift retailers, corporate gift suppliers, export merchants, among others. To connect with prospective clientele, the three machines were on display with samples that represented versatility and creativity.

Attention of the visiting PSPs at the expo was drawn as they could check how the three Roland machines in the ‘Business in a Box’ would dovetail into their existing business and produce flourishing results.

Roland VersaUV LEF-20: A revolutionary desktop UV printer, VersaUV LEF-20 opens up a wide range of creative and personalised applications, enabling direct printing on endless range of substrates and three-dimensional objects. This machine delivers high-quality printing in CMYK plus specialty colours, white and gloss, using eco-UV inks for premium special effects, with gloss and matte finishes as well as three-dimensional and textural effects.

Variable data printing technology of VersaUV LEF-20 allows users to individualise item with names, photos and other custom design elements. The low-heat LED curing system makes the machine ideal for printing on electronic devices, including tablets and iPods. In addition to this, it can also print directly on gift items ranging from jewelleries and accessories up to photo frames, wedding favours, dishware and even fabric items such as leather wallets and purses.


Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20: This system offers an entry-level introduction to the world of wide-format eco-solvent printing by providing integrated print-and-cut technology and white and metallic specialty inks within a compact desktop printer. The printer produces high-quality samples with heat-press finishing demonstrating how PSPs can produce a wide variety of profit-driving products while benefiting from low investment and minimal set-up logistics. Popular applications include merchandising of T-shirts, caps and POP displays.

With the print-and-cut versatility of Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20, graphics can be die-cut in one seamless workflow for custom labels and decals, cell phone covers, laptop wraps and more.

Roland Metaza MPX-90: Using this impact engraver, one can play around a spectrum of unique customisation options on metal surfaces. Built up based on the Roland Photo Marking System (RPMS), Roland Metaza MPX-90 has a durable diamond-tipped stylus which imprints by precisely striking a surface in high speeds to reproduce the most delicate gradations of original design. This engraving system does not burn or remove material on impact resulting in a clean production process free of odour and debris.

Roland Metaza MPX-90 can be used on a wide range of metal surfaces including harder metals, such as iron, titanium, stainless steel, gold, silver and platinum. And additionally it can be used to imprint resins and acrylics. Utilising a head cap to allow for curved surfaces, this Roland engraver can personalise both flat and curved items like pens, cuff links and money clips.
