Frontiers of wide-format printing keep widening in major cities across the country, and it’s exciting that NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies has proved it. Trotec (Austria), Multicam (USA), Mitsubishi (Japan), MATAN (Israel), Anderson DPC and Aristro (Germany), among others.

In 2008, Negi opened its manufacturing plant in Dehradun to assemble the popular Mutoh Toucan solvent printers in India under the brand name NEGIJET, manufacturing Negijet Polariz, Negijet Starfire and Negijet Digital Textile Printer Series.

Being one of the first introducer of larger-format printers in India, NEGI develops its own machine models and has a countrywide network of branches. Yet another big milestone of the company is the recent completion of the 100th Mutoh ValueJet eco-solvent printer installation in Paharganj.

Central Art, a big old customer of NEGI in Paharganj, New Delhi, is now a proud adopter of a line of three NegiJet Polaris 3300 Plus printers alongside a PJ-2214-1 and a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4, installed in its state-of-the-art production setup of 20,000 sq ft. Kapil Sehgal, owner of the firm, says they have a team of 50 professionals and working for a number of big corporate clients such as Auto Expo and Jaipur Mart. He mentions that they are going to expand textile and UV jobs.

It has been around a couple of decades since Dreams Designs marked its first presence in Paharganj. Founded by Zakir, the firm has invested in a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 and a Mutoh Osprey PJ 3344, now both running healthily in their production setup. Another customer in the area, Royal Ad used to be a fabricator when they made entry into the signage market. After years of fabrication job, Nadeem, founder of the company, eventually decided to directly embrace wide-format printing, by installing a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 printer.

In business of any form, experiences counted to take it to another level. This holds true when it comes to counting the experience of SR Advertising and Events, which has installed a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 printer and working for big corporate clients like iPhone. It has been barely five years for Colour Ad in Paharganj. Regardless of its young age, this signage firm has now fully geared up with a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 eco-solvent to serve big clients like Vodafone and Vivo.

Keeping constant check on the market trend and tradition of sign making, Sunny Graphics has always been active to go for latest technologies. According to Sunny Malhotra, founder of the firm, overall dexterity of the company is the prowess they gain from Mutoh ValueJet 1638X and Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4. In the year 2008, SR Graphic opened its door to the world of signage, under the leadership of two amicable partners—Shoaib and Ronaq. The business duo installed a pair of Mutoh printers—Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 and NegiJet Polariz 3300—that drove them into new dynamism in graphic art production, be it for indoor display systems or outdoor banners.

Over the last six years, Lakshya Signages has marked several milestones of success in printing and sign making, using two Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 printers, handled by 30 staffers. Impact Graphics Solution, a 20-year-old signage firm in the area, is also a user of Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 printer along with other machines to serve a number of leading corporate companies.

An in-shop branding expert, Hindustan Signage Industry, founded by Vikas Singhal, is now a proud adopter of Mutoh ValueJet 1624. Likewise, with their mission statement 'Your Perfect Printing Solution' signifying a value proposition to its customers, Print Media has been in the city’s signage market over the last five years. Deepak Kumar, founder of the company, mentions Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 eco-solvent printer is what it pushes them ahead.

Mohd Maskoor of Star Graphic says they are proud of being an adopter of capable systems like Mutoh 1604 K4, NegiJet solvent printer and others, which make them fully equipped to serve big clients like Lenskart, Grilling and Wash as well as a host of ad agencies. Around four years back, Jawed opened MJ Enterprise in one of the by-lanes of Paharganj with a backup from a small team of signage professionals. Today the company has attained a pinnacle of success, roping in a host of corporate customers, following the installation of a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 and a set of finishing equipments.

One of the oldest signage players in Paharganj, 3D Impression is known for delivering unmatched graphic prints using NEGI printers. The state-of-the-art production facility of the company is equipped with two versatile printers—Mutoh Toucan and Mutoh ValueJet 1604.

Customers of NEGI in Paharganj are of mixed backgrounds as some of them are as young as barely one year old. Mention of the young ones having installed a Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 each in their production facilities include New Star Ad; AN Enterprise; City Signage; Colortop Graphic; CS Graphics; Green Graphics; AM Graphics; Sana Graphic; Golden Graphics; Media Advertising; Brite Graphics; and Shaan Graphics.

Further, many other Negi's customers are dwelled across Paharganj.

Launch of high-speed Negijet TX R-1900 for textile printing

Engineered for complete textile printing solution, NEGI Sign Systems has launched NegiJet TX R-1900, which is a direct-to-textile system featured with (8-16) RICOH Gen5 variable dot printheads, capable to run at the maximum speed of 240 sq m/hr in 1200 dpi. “Introduction of this textile printer has opened a new possibility in textile printing as it is developed with high-end technologies and customer-focused approach for smooth operation and reliable printing,” mentioned Vijay Kandari, sales head, NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies Co. Also the printer is available with Neostampa RIP software for better colour reproduction and print textures. NegiJet TX R-1900 was showcased at the recent Media Expo 2016 in New Delhi for the masses who are looking for a diversified business into Digital Textile Printing.

NegiJet Starfire 3300 Plus added to solvent printer line

Fresh introduction from NEGI Sign Systems is the high speed solvent printer, NegiJet Starfire 3300 Plus—which was premiered at the Media Expo 2016 organised from September 29 – October 01, 2016 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. “It received a tremendous response from trade visitors during the trade exhibition,” said Vijay Kandari. NegiJet Starfire 3300 Plus is an ideal system for outdoor applications of diverse range, which could be banners, billboards and such items.

“Capable to take either on flex or vinyl material, this new printer is equipped with Dimatrix Starfire printheads (2/4/8) and capable to run at the speed of 3,000 sq ft/hr,” narrated Vijay, adding that the system is available with ONYX RIP software. Integration of the ONYX software makes the printer easy to prepare job and deliver prints faster. NegiJet Starfire 3300 Plus delivers maximum print resolution of up to 1,200 dpi.


Long-term loyal customers

NEGI Sign Systems has a host of loyal customers around the country, which the company has been associated closely since its inception, and every one of them is adopter of 1-8 NEGI printers now running successfully in their production set ups.

Based in Tinsukia town of Assam, Rajeev Group is a 15 years old signage firm and a long-time user of Mutoh Osprey and Mutoh ValueJet 1604K4. These versatile printers help the group expand their jobs towards wall art graphics, canvas printing, etc. With its 25-member team, the group has so far been working for a host of corporate customers, namely, Oil India, Assam Gas, Assam Medical College and others including leading tea firms in Upper Assam. Nitin Ad and Prints, another big client of NEGI in Faridabad, is adopter of five Mutoh ValueJet series, handled by a team of 18 skillful professionals.

Another long-time customer, Arvind Advertising has installed NegiJet Polariz 3300. This Delhi-based firm has a production team of 25 staffers and among some of its leading clients include Dabur. Design-O-Graphic is yet another well known signage firm in Delhi whose production setup is fully equipped with Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 and NegiJet Polariz 3300 Plus printers. With the strong infrastructure, the firm has managed to rope in some top-notch corporate clients like NBT, DSES Rajdhani among others.

In Bhopal, Sign X Enterprises boasts a huge portfolio of NEGI printers in its production facility. The lineup includes NegiJet, Toucan-87, Osprey, Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 and two Negijet Polariz 3300 Plus printers. According to Ajay Chobey, owner of the firm, they are able to deliver high-speed eco-solvent prints and they are now planning to expand machine lineup with another brand new NEGI eco-solvent printer soon. The company employs 18 sign making professionals.

For more than a decade Vardhman Ad Graphics in Delhi has been partnered with NEGI with the installation of NegiJet Polariz 3300 Plus, Mutoh Taucan and two Mutoh ValueJet 1604 K4 printers. Founder RK Jain of the company says they have been into in-shop graphics, mentioning Videocon (Digiworld) as one of its major clients. Worth mentionable amid the pool of NEGI’s loyal customers is Rajeev Publicity in New Delhi. The firm boasts of its production setup with a huge machine portfolio comprising NegiJet Polariz 3300, Negi Valujet 1604K4 and NegiJet. SP Sharma says they have been active in the industry for more than two decades, working for leading corporate clients like Wrangler and others. Another long-time user of NEGI printers, Color Graphics in Kolkata has installed a NegiJet Polariz 3300. Backed by a team of four well-experienced sign-making professionals, the company caters varieties of graphics applications to diverse customers from a mixed clientele, over the last eight years. Aiming at a new level, the company is now planning to get expansively forayed into wall graphic domain.

Siddhant Enterprises in Bhopal is another long-time NEGI customer, which has installed NegiJet Polariz 3300 Plus (3 units) and Osprey PJ 3300. The company is a one-stop corner for a number of big regular clients, such as Department of Agriculture in Madhya Pradesh Government. The company boasts a setup of 6,000 sq ft for handling everything in-house.

Ramnaidu Printers based in Rajamundhry (AP) is another long time customer, which has installed two Mutoh ValueJet 1604 printers. Satish, owner of the company, says they are more into one-way vision graphics on canvas and acrylic. The company has a team of nine well-trained professional.

Over the years, Ahmedabad-based Scarlet Prints has been a proud user of NEGI printers. The company has installed three Mutoh ValueJet 1624 printers till date. Prime activities of the company include canvas printing and other non-conventional applications. Ashwin Shah, owner of the company, boasts of their 15,000 sq ft production set up and a strong team of 85 employees.

Clear Vision in Delhi is yet another loyal customer of NEGI for years. The company has a state-of-the-art production setup where installed four Mutoh ValueJet printers and a NegiJet Polariz 3300. Mohit Kohli, owner of the company, says they have been associated with NEGI for about eight years and serving a host of corporate clients from different industrial clusters.


NEGI Inks pour in choices for versatile applications

Besides printing systems, NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies is a proud distributor of inks designed for all leading printheads. Variants of inks from the company are used far and wide among various signage and graphic art companies. A group of NEGI ink dealers in different parts of the country talk to ABHINAV MALLIK about the products they offer and benefits their customers get.

NEGI PZO Inks from NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies are categorised into three broad groups—Solvent, Eco-Solvent and Textile—which are further sub-grouped into diverse variants designed suitably for relevant printheads. Variants available in the PZO Series with the compatible printheads are Universal Series (XAAR 128, Proton, Electron; Seiko SPT510, KM 35pl and KM 42pl); XAAR Series (XAAR 128, Proton and Electron); Spectra Series (Spectra Nova, S-Class and Galaxy 256); and Spectra Polaris LV Series (Spectra Polaris 15pl and 35pl).

NEGI PZO Solvent Inks are easy to use and featured high optical density for producing a wide colour gamut; and the Eco-Solvent range, available under ECO VJ Series, are compatible with all eco-solvent printers with EPSON DX5, DX6 and DX7 printheads. Textile inks from the company are suitable for cellulose, silk and wool. Also offered in the textile domain are water-based PZO Disperse Dye-Sublimation Inks for direct printing onto polyester, producing light fastness of prints, ideal for sportswear and interior decor graphics.

Over the last four years, since its establishment as supplier of wide-format graphic inks in 2012, Bihar Graphics Suppliers has been dealing in a line of NEGI inks. Based out of Patna, this ink dealer covers beyond the state capital, extending its deliveries to clients dwelled in the neighbouring districts of Kodarma and Deoghar. “Our client list is a mixed bag containing signage firms of all sizes, big and small, for them we supply choices of inks as per their requirements. I’d like to sum up that NEGI inks offer ‘choices’ for everyone,” says Rajesh Singh, founder, Bihar Graphics Suppliers.

More than 400 signage companies located in and around Patna are getting NEGI inks from Bihar Graphics Suppliers. When enquired the most demanded brand, Rajesh points at Universal Series and says, “Our clients sometimes turn up to grab the last standing Universal Series solvent and eco-solvent inks.” Appreciating the quality and compatibility of the inks, he comments that wide-format printers should be well fed with genuine inks from authentic brands, such as NEGI, if one wants to sustain superiority and sustainability in outputs, without glitches in the long run.

Long-term partners

Those ink dealers that have been tied up with NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies to deal inks from the latter always in long-term relationship. It has been more than a decade since Kolkata-based Mountain Art Gallery opened its ink dealership firm supplying NEGI inks to a number of signage printing and production firms. “Of course, we have been successful in business of supplying NEGI inks over the last ten years, catering a range of choices to more than 50 signage companies around Kolkata,” asserts Santu Das, owner, Mountain Art Gallery.

“As the name sounds, Universal Series is the most demanded and suitable ink in its class for any kind of application,” says Santu, adding that its versatility and adaptability make the series most demanded choice among PSPs. He defines NEGI inks as ‘qualitative products’ that can raise the bar to enrich business equally for both supplies and end users. Among the regular customers of Mountain Art Gallery in Kolkata, S-Tech Graphics is mentioned as an old fellow in the roster.

Yet another old NEGI ink supplier, TVS Inks is based in New Delhi with its clients predominantly scatter across Delhi-NCR. “More than 100 of our clients are in Delhi-NCR,” says Kapil Sehgal, founder, TVS Inks, adding that he put loyalty to ‘brand NEGI’ for their success as they shelve only the NEGI Series inks, nothing else. The two most demanded inks of their clients, according to Kapil, are the Universal and Eco-Solvent Series. He says TVS Inks is now in active mode to increase volume of ink stock. In this, Kapil observes that NEGI Sign Systems & Supplies is now gaining momentum in installation of its machines across the country, which will surely add an impetus to the volume of inks supply.

Moreover, Anand Paper, Gaurav Graphic and Avon Signage are some of the leading NEGI ink dealers in Allahabad. Likewise, mention of a popular one in Lucknow may enlist Mahalaxmi Enterprise.


NEGI textile printers break new ground

Over the years, NEGI textile printers have been popular not only among soft signage firms, but also designers and export houses. The company’s textile printers are designed for diverse range of imaginable applications on materials including silk, cotton, wool, viscose, etc.

Latest installation of a NEGI textile printer in Delhi has been done at D’Ascoli & Company/Talianna Consultants Pvt Ltd, a leading textile and powerhouse firm, founded by Peter D’Ascoli. The firm has recently installed a NegiJet Econo Series to create its bestselling textile graphics and art designs.

Vaishno Dye Cham in New Delhi is considerably one of the oldest textile printers in the city and a long-time customer of NEGI. So far, this signage major has installed ten NEGI sublimation printers. Founder of the company, OP Soni, says NegiJet V3 65B and Mutoh ValueJet 1604 W printers in their facility could meet demand for any sort of application in the market. For more than a decade in the industry, Boom Graphics in the city also boasts of installing 11 Mutoh sublimation systems from NEGI. This firm is known for its competency in sportswear printing.

Another adopter of NegiJet Econo Series in the capital city is Digital Craft India, a well established textile firm engaging predominantly in graphic prints on natural fabric materials like cotton, silk, linen, hosiery, etc. After the installation of two Negijet printers over the last six months they are planning to go for the third soon.

Beyond Delhi, a couple of Mutoh VJ1638X sublimation printers have been installed by Tirupur-based City Sublimation, which caters stunning gamut of textile prints for diverse applications using cotton and polyester materials. Prabhu, founder of City Sublimation, says they have a team of nine staffers to handle everything in-house. Complementing the NEGI printers, the production setup of the company also has an additional film processing unit for screen printing, where installed a line of MHM, M&R and Rotary machines.

With the installation of three Mutoh ValueJet 1638X sublimation printers, Tirupur-based Varshini Exports has grown its textile printing activities to new high. The company has been resourceful with the versatile printers from NEGI over the last few years, and now they have roped in a number of corporate clients. Backed by a team of hundreds of experienced sign-making professionals, Varshini Exports is an expertise in production of graphics printed on a range of non-conventional materials, such as polyester, cotton, single jersey, among others. In Tirupur, Galaxy Rotary Printing Mills is yet another customer of NEGI with extensive activities in textile printing. Over the short span of last six months, the company has installed the third Mutoh ValueJet sublimation printer in its production facility. Their production facility with other two units of ValueJet1638X sublimation printers and a Mutoh ValueJet 1624. The company boasts of a team of 75 experienced professionals, engaging into 100 percent polyester print jobs and pigment glitter on cotton hosiery and discharge prints.

Located in Chennai, DS Sport has been into sublimation printing over the last few years, using two Mutoh RJ900 X sublimation printers from NEGI. Govindraj from the company mentions that they choose high-class polyester fabric variants for diverse applications in accordance to the needs of their customers.


Milestones of NEGI now and then
