Announcing compatibility with HP Latex grades of printers, such as HP Designjet L65500 and Designjet L25500, Rational Business Corporation (P) Ltd, New Delhi has released printing profiles of YUPO media line. YUPO Octopus (Clear) launched
in India and Middle East
Rational Business Corporation (P) Ltd, official partner for Indian operation of Yupo Corporation (Japan), has announced the launch of YUPO Octopus (Clear) in India and the Middle East. Commenting explicitly about the product, Ashish Gupta, managing director, RBCPL explains,“ Octopus (Clear) is a synthetic media that sticks on clean, dry smooth surfaces like glass, acrylics, metal, floor surfaces, etc.” He adds that this synthetic media is 99 percent optically clear, removable, reusable and printable by UV-curable screen, UV inkjet and latex printing technology.

HP’s Vyomesh Joshi to address at
DIMA 2010 luncheon

German court declares EFI victorious against Durst
EFI and its super-wide format printer unit VUTEk announces victory in its German patent litigation with Durst Fototechnik Digital Technology involving EFI’s VUTEk QS series printers with white ink technology. Durst brought the lawsuit in Mannheim Regional Court on February 27, 2007, accusing EFI’s VUTEk QS series printers of infringing Durst’s utility model DE 20 2005 012 179U1. From the outset, EFI has maintained that it employed the technology in its QS printers well before Durst obtained its utility model.
The expert appointed by the court agreed with EFI that Durst’s utility model claims were not novel and lacked any inventive step.
Arrow Digital installs Epson GS6000
and Solara ionx printers
Arrow Digital Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad installed a range of Epson GS6000 and Solara ionx printers in a group of companies located in different parts of the country in December 2009. Gurubal Engineering Company Pvt Ltd, Digital Imaging Inc and SSR Enterprise, Suraj in Bangalore; Avanashiappa Engineering Industries in Tirupur and Imagination in Surat have installed Epson GS6000. And those companies adopted new Gerber Solara ionx are Umiya in Baroda and Kolkata-based Graffiti.
