Mumbai edition of Sign India 2016
receives record footfalls


Setting a new record turnout of visitors, recently concluded Mumbai edition of Sign India 2016 marked a resounding success with showcases of the latest machines and technologies emerged in the indoor and outdoor advertising domains. A regular show by Business Live, the three-day signage expo pulled a crowd of more than 9,500 serious trade visitors stormed from different parts of the country. SIGN & GRAPHICS takes a glace of the landmark Mumbai edition of Sign India.

The 21st edition of Sign India, held at Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Goregaon East, Mumbai, from May 13-15, drew trade visitors from all over the country. A troupe of 60 exhibitors showcased a gamut of advanced machines, technologies and related products, some among them were so freshly surfaced in the country’s signage industry. The exhibitors were unanimous in expressing their satisfaction about the quality of visitors and volume of business enquiries they received during the show. Around 95 percent of them rated the show good, showing interest to participate in the next edition too in Chennai.

“The Mumbai edition of the show is good; we found a right mix of crowd from different parts of the country,” said Rahul Tariwala from Apsom Technologies. He added that the trade visitors are engrossed to the company’s showcase of eco-solvent and UV printers, specifically pointing at the MyJet UV flatbed printer being put on display. The expo attracted a large percentage of trade visitors in active buying mode, who eventually finalised orders during the show, making Sign India one of the key marketing platforms for signage professionals in the country.

Showing a line of versatile Challenger series alongside other products like Venus, Mercury and Spirit brands of laser engravers, Siare Technologies was one among the crowd pullers at the show. Sanjay DJ of Siare Technologies remarks the show as another successful Sign India edition. “We are looking ahead to converting the enquiries we received during the show into fruitful business,” he added.


Sun Sign & Technologies, one of the prolific show-stoppers at the show, displayed its range of Starflex textile, vinyl, blockout banner materials as well as other products including new Starlec LEDs and power suppliers. “It is a well- organised expo in which the trade visitors are very conscious about quality products we offer during the show,” mentioned Umesh Sharma, adding that they look forward to receiving some good postshow response from the visitors.

Main showcases at the show consisted of machines, technologies and allied products revolving around solvent/ecosolvent, inkjet, UV flatbed, cutting plotter, laser engraving, LEDs, POP, CNC routing, kiosks, vinyl manufacturing, showroom displays, stock images, corporate gifts, ink supplies, banner stands and others.

And the key exhibitors included HP Inc, EPSON India, Mimaki, Silicon Infotech, Teckwin Sign Solutions, JX Enterprise, Mehta Cad Cam Systems, Siare Technologies, Apsom Technologies, New Clear Technologies, Sun Sign & Technologies, SRF, Konica Minolta, Aartist, Suresh Indu Lasers, Trilok Lasers, Abhikruthi Digi-Soft, Ace Infotex, Aestrik Techno-Signs, Ajit Industries, Akshar Sign Technology, All India Plastics, Anant Book Suppliers, Arrow Multimedia, B&R Digitals, Computer World, Four Square Media, HANDCNC India, Hunkjet Technocraft, Leister Technologies, Light Tower Group, Magson’s Printer Depot (MPD), Maxworth Trading, Pal Associates, Quicksoftpro, Sign Kraft Digitals, Sky Screen, Soft Meadows, Soft People Computers, Trade4india and so on.
